About Jackson
In college, my geography department had a collective motto: Never lost, always exploring. Years later, whether it's in books or real life, I'm still living by those words. Chronic wanderlust leads me to mountains and rivers and fascinating cities, and wherever I can't go — i.e. SPACE and any world filled with magic and mystical creatures — I visit via the page.
When not exploring, I'm settled comfortably at home with my brilliant wife and two adorable cats, Llewyn and Gilly. I work as an Environmental Specialist for four Twin Cities suburbs and fill the rest of my waking hours with a multitude of hobbies: guitar, hiking, camping, tennis, golf, movies, video games, reading, and most importantly, writing.
As a child, I dreamed of being either an astronaut, athlete, or author, in large part because of my eighth grade English teacher who said she wanted to see me on the bestsellers list in ten years. I've long since missed that deadline, but if I can hand deliver a copy of my book to her someday, it will more than make up for it.
My works are for her, my dearly departed mother-in-law and younger brother, and every other wonderful human I'm fortunate enough to have or have had in my life. And, of course, for you, Future Reader!
